Only 5 Days Til CHRISTmas!

We had a great day today.  Dear daughter and I went out while the guys stayed at home and did guy things.  We went to Target and it was a mad house!  This will be our first CHRISTmas in our new home and new city.  We are very excited!  Our oldest son and his girlfriend will be here tomorrow.  His siblings are ready to see him.

We just baked some chocolate chip cookies! UMMMMM!  Aziyah did all the measuring and Aaron did the mixing, if I must say so myself they did an awesome job!  The cookies are delicious!  I had to limit them to 2 a piece, because they would be up all night!

I hope you all are ready for CHRISTmas!

I am almost done with the tweety bird backpack; it is so cute!  The only thing I have to do is put the bias tape on it and then it's done.  It is going in my etsy.

Once the new year comes, I plan to challenge myself to make something everyday.  I have to sew up ALL that fabric!  I love making the little a-line dresses they're so easy and quick.  I will have a few of them on there as well.  I will also be making some little stocking ornies for next CHRISTmas.  I plan to make one out of every single thing that I make.  This idea came from wondermommy.  She posted it on the sewingmamas board.  I will keep her up to date as well.  Well I hope you all have a very Merry CHRISTmas and a prosperous New Year!

"14 Days Til CHRISTmas"

Hello All,

It has been 10 days since I last blogged.  We finally got the lights up outside and we don't have enough to finish the front.  We lived in a smaller house and now we have a bigger house and not enough lights.  Went to walmart this morning to see if they had any- no not a one.  The guy said they didn't even get any in this year.  What?  No CHRISTmas lights?  What's wrong with them?!
The kids got their trees up and they decorated them ALL by themselves.  Aziyah has a pink one and Aaron and Jordan got a green one.  I am almost done with CHRISTmas.  Got to wrap my parents gifts and in-laws gift and get them in the mail-quick!!  Came by the post office this afternoon and it was crowded!  I discovered that our post office opens at 8 am, so when I drop the kids off on Wednesday I will go straight there and get those packages in the mail.  I hope you all know you only have 13 more shopping days!  Better get moving!

I am making a pink tweety bird pack pack tomorrow (at least that's the plan) to put in my shop.  I have a few other things to photogarph and get listed as well.  Will post it once it's done; perhaps before 2010!

Here is a picture of our tree with lots of handmade ornies by the kids; some are at least 10 years old!

Well Thanksgiving was great, just me, hubby and the kids.  We ate and then went for a walk.  Had to walk off some of that food.  I was very good this year, only ate ONCE!  When everyone went back for seconds I didn't.  Don't want to gain the 6 pounds back, afterall it took me about a month to lose them; sure wouldn't want to gain it all back in a day!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.  Bought the kids some wooden ornaments from the craft store to paint.  They did a good job on them.  Aaron's is the sleigh and Aziyah's the peppermint.  We try to do this each year, so as they get older and the skills get better, they can see what imporvements they've made.  We got our tree on Sunday and just waiting for hubby to get the decorations down so we can decorate the tree.  The kids all have trees for their rooms; we even got one for the guest room.

Aziyah and I are doing a small holiday boutique on Saturday and she is very excited about this.  It was last minute; thank God we craft year round and had a bin of finished items.  Aziyah made about 2 dozen of the seashell angels to sell.  I have a bunch of other things to sell.  I hope you all have fun decorating for Christmas and let us all not forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Also made the kids some t-shirts to wear to Hubby's job Chirstmas party.  They had a lot of  fun.  Aziyah won a $25 gift card to Best Buy!

Hello All!

During this season of Thanksgiving let us not forget the blessings that God has bestowed upon us.
Psalm 100:4 says "Enter into his gates with THANKSGIVING and into his coursts with praise: be THANKFUL unto him, and bless his name."

Make sure to take the time to reflect on it all.  I am so THANKFUL for everything the Lord has done in our lives.  God is so good!  We are preparing to have a small quaint family dinner.  This will be our first THANKSGIVING in our new home, in which God has so graciously blessed us with.

I hope you all have a wonderful THANKSGIVING and enjoy family and friends.  Live life to it's fullest.

"Thanksgiving is Next Week!"

Just got through reading my daily word.  Reading the Cornithians right now and studying Proverbs with the hubby and kids as a family.  The bible tells us to "Train up and child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."

After my word, I put on some Marvin Sapp "Thirsty" and I just had my own worship going on in here.  It just makes me feel good about serving the Lord.  Thirsty makes me cry because I'm so happy to be a child of God.  Don't know Him?  You should try Him!

Getting ready to go down stairs to get some fuel and then it's off to the sewing machine.  I am currently working on a scrappy doll quilt to put in my shop.  Yes, I finally did it!  It's been a long time coming.  I am now TRYING to work daily to stock my shop.  Aziyah and I have created quite a few things together and I will be listing those too.  She will get the money though.  These seashell angels are always a BIG HIT!  We have done many craft shows and they sell out all the time and we have had people coming to our booth looking for them and of course they are SOLD OUT!  This makes me so proud of her.  Have a blessed day everyone.

Can You Believe It's November?

Today is a beautiful day here in sunny California.  The sun is shining and there is a little chill in the air.  Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and then my favorite holiday of the year. CHRISTMAS, the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  We must always remember that "Jesus is the Reason" for the season.  I love everything about Christmas.  The lights, Christmas trees and most of all FAMILY.  Most of our family is in Florida.  We love and miss them so much.  I wish that we could spend every holiday together, however we are with each other in the spirit.

I finished a fall outfit for my daughter.  She loved it and so did everyone else.  She now wants me to create a lollipop t-shirt that says "Sweet Attitude".  Daddy says he doesn't know about this one.  We shall see.  Will be making that in the coming weeks, will show you when I'm done.  Here is the candy corn outfit.  Enjoy.

"Stash Sewing"

Well today I finished up two A-line dresses, a halter dress and a simple peasant dress.  These took a yard each, which means four yards down 296+ to go!  I got these boxed up and shipped out.  Can't wait to get modeling shots.  I am currently working on t-shirt for littlest dear son and my USMC Birthday Ball gown.  It's almost done; need to hem it and put the binding in the sleeves and tada!  Will post a pick when I'm done.

How Roszberries Got It's Name

Hello, Roszberries is a company that was started by my sister over 10 years ago.  She and I decided to go into business together back in 2000.  In March 2001, I had gotten a store owner to rent us some shelf space to showcase our items.  We had dolls, clothes, gift baskets, lots of handmade crafts.  We use to do a lot of craft shows as well.

In May 2001, Rosz lost her battle with LUPUS.  She is now whole and living with the Father.  I was very distraught and didn't want to continue with the business.  She was the only sibling I had.  I took a break for several years.  I got a phone call from a previous customer wanting a few Easter baskets.  I did them for her, and started to get my mojo back.  My husband bought me a new machine and I started sewing one thing at a time.  With much encouragement, I started back sewing and crafting and have been ever since.  I love doing all kinds of crafts!  My daughter is 9 and she loves crafting and sewing too.  She even has her own sewing machine!!!

"I Love Fabric"

It is a chilly day here in sunny California.  No one told me it got this cold here.  I finished DD's jacket and it came out so cute.  She LOVES it!  Finished littlest DS's lounge pants and needless to say he LOVES them too!  I have about 300+ yards of fabric that I need to sew up!  My plan is to sew something everyday until my stash decreases. I will post a pic of the jacket soon, got to get the pics off the camera.  Well I'm going now to do some laundry now and perhaps sew something too.
